What is an MP3-book and how does it work?
An MP3-book is an audiobook in MP3-format, or other digital download format, adapted to listen to with an MP3 player. MP3-books consists of several files. A good idea is to create a folder on your computer where you save all the files. If your computer starts playing the file directly, instead to download it, try right-clicking (click and hold for Macintosh) from the menu that appears, select "Save As". Always make sure to download all the files that belong to the audiobook, to your computer.
Which MP3 players can play our audiobooks?
Almost all MP3 players can play our audiobooks. The only requirement is that it is able to play files up to 32 MB in size. We deliver the audiobook in the usual standard MP3-format.
Can I buy more than one copy of an MP3-book?
No, you can only buy one copy of the same title, each time you buy. If you require more copies, you can either contact us, or simply shop several times.
How big are the MP3-files?
The books are divided into sections that are approximately 30-60 minutes long. A 30-minute MP3-file is approximately 10-15 MB large. This means that the files are typically between 10 and 30 Mb big. A great audiobook is often up to 10 hours long, which means that an entire book can be 200 to 300 MB.
What quality have the MP3-files?
The files are compressed to 48 kbps. The audiobooks are recorded in mono, which corresponds to 96 kbps stereo. Compression is done with software that provides excellent sound quality for speech.
What other formats are the audiobooks in?
Our audiobooks are in MP3 format. Several of the titles, are also in the AAC format for Apple iPod.
Why is the audiobook files smaller, than the music files?
This is because speach contains less information than music and therefore, can it be compressed more heavily. In addition, audiobooks are recorded in mono instead of stereo.
What is digital watermarking?
Digital watermarking is meant to protect copyright material. When downloading an MP3-book, the file is stamped with a digital watermark. The watermark is composed of non-acoustic information in the sound, containing the customer's order number. This watermark does not affect the file format and it´s not difficult to download or use the audio files. Any unauthorized copying and dissemination, is prohibited and the watermark shows that the sound files belongs to the customer. The customer is solely responsible for that the sound files, do not spread further to other users. If the sound files end up in the wrong hands, such as a file sharing site, a decoder can be use to obtain the customer's order number. We recommend, that you have some form of broadband connection.
Reproduction of the bought MP3-book?
Yes, you can copy the audiobook for own use. We recommend, that you keep an extra copy of your audiobook on your computer. However, you can not provide copies of the audiobook to your friends and acquaintances and you can certainly not, load up copies of the audiobook on file-sharing sites.
Can the audiobook be converted to other formats than MP3?
Yes, you can convert the audiobook into other formats as long as you use the audiobook for own use.

Delivery of MP3-books?
Once you have confirmed your purchase and your card payment is approved, you can download your MP3-book. You can also download your MP3-book later. It is available for download under "My account"/"My downloads" up to 14 days after purchase.
